Vornado's small (12-inch diameter), quiet fan is designed to provide big output. The 42-inch pedestal it sits on makes it possible to hide the unit behind furniture while still directing air circulation efficiently. As the manufacturer points out, this fan isn't just for cooling: proper air circulation can save money on winter heating bills as well as summer cooling bills by beating air stratification. The plastic material is surprisingly sturdy and has a substantial feel.
