The Vornado brade of fans is one of the best around. The one that we had finally gave up the ghost after 10 Years. So if you want a fan that will cool more than a single room, BUY this brand.Customer Review: In house direct fan - OK / Work Site Air Mover - No Good

Was looking for a good Air Mover to help while doing home projects in closed environments. Need to be kept cool. The Vornado is light and good quality but it's air volume is lacking. We have an old 3 speed 16" desk fan that is starting to fail and it moves more air the Vornado. This fan is a just OK fan and does produce a direct air stream. It really doesn't seem to be an air circulator. If you need a good Air mover try Northern Tool. If you need a niche home air mover this Vornado does OK.Customer Review: high price low output

I purchased this fan about a year ago. I'm the type who likes to buy the highest quality I can afford. I was fooled by the claims made by the fans manufacturers as pertaining to its performance. It is advertised as a shop fan, but it is the least powerful "shop fan" I have ever seen. Considering its price I had expected a big bang from this small fan. It left me with a sick feeling in my stomach after turning it on high. At the approach of another Florida summer I decided to purchase a larger fan that would actually circulate the air in my workplace. I left a national home improvement chain with a 20" high velocity fan that I paid $38 for. There is no comparison. The Vornado may have some aerodynamic qualities that make it more efficient, but for its price I could have bought two of the fans I purchased today, still had $15 dollars left over, and had over 18,000 cubic feet per minute circulating in my workplace. I think I will use the Vornado in my house where its quiet operation will be more appreciated. I will never buy anything from this company again. It is quite possibly the most wasteful expenditure of money in the outfitting of my shop. The only good things I can say about it are as follows: very quiet operation; ease of assembly; and a long cord with a place to wrap it up.
