yes, it's an overpriced fan, not heater. i tested it faithfully for a week in a relatively small bedroom, and it never came close to warming up the room. you can set it to 80 F and it'll only blow out (loudly) luke warm air. it's a complete waste of money. shame on the manufacturer for setting its' exorbitant price. the other vornado models gave me the same results so it's an inherent problem with the entire line.

The electronic heater features a convex grill format to allow air to flow most ably. The fan's grill and cabinet stay cool as heat emits from the protected non-glowing heat element.
