If you are looking for "whisper-quiet" operation as this product's description claims, don't buy this product. We have other small fans that are quieter on a high speed setting than this Vornado product is on its lowest speed setting. Also, if you order this in the Midnight Blue color, be prepared for it to arrive and appear essentially black. The picture on-line and on the product box show more blue tinge than is actually there. If you look hard in bright sunlight, you can see just a hint of dark blue but it is almost imperceptible. Ten minutes after opening the box and plugging it in, the fan was back in the box awaiting return. Not satisfied with it. On a more positive note, we liked the stylish design. Just wish other factors had been acceptable. Thanks to Amazon.com for their customer-friendly return policy.Customer Review: Not Quite Worthy of the Vornado Name

I finally broke down and bought a pair of these for $19.99 (for both). While they MIGHT be worth $10 each, they aren't worth any more than that. I have been in love with Vornado fans for years, but while the V6 is cute, it's hardly worthy of the Vornado name. The fan just doesn't move enough air to justify the space it takes up. Yes, it's small (much smaller than the V8) but for the size, and the speed at which the blades turn, I expected double the air flow. It's pleasantly quiet, though, so I don't understand the complaints about it being noisy. I'll likely return these V6 fans and wait for the V8 model to go on sale again. I predict Vornado will either drop the V6 next year, or dramatically improve it. Woot has had several 19.99 per pair sales, which means Vornado is trying to get rid of these.Customer Review: Surprisingly noisy for such little air

The fan does look cool, I'll give it that. But thats about all I like about it. Even on the high speed, it does not push enough air to be worth the noise it creates. If it was quiet, then I could deal with the poor airflow. If it pushed a lot of air, then I could deal with the noise. But since this fan suffers from both poor airflow and noise, it's going back to Target. ($14.99 btw.. better deal than amazon)Customer Review: Air circulation OK, but noisy

At the low fan speed setting, circulates air adequately but it is surprisingly noisy -- too noisy for use in the cube farm that is my work place. I can't recommend it, wouldn't purchase it again.
